About the Concert
Trent Chamber Orchestra (founded in 2023 to play the classical repertoire written for a Chamber Orchestra to as high a standard as possible, but also to give opportunities for members of the Orchestra to play in smaller groups and reach a wider audience) presents an afternoon of jazz music.
Manière des Bohémiens, featuring TCO leader Rob Rosa on violin, play energetic and improvised Django Reinhardt/Stephane Grappelli influenced Gypsy Jazz and Eastern European swing.
The Loxley Saxophone Ensemble, featuring TCO principal clarinettist Heather Parkin, will play arrangements of favourites including Bohemian Rhapsody, The Magnificent Seven and Teddy Bear's Picnic.
This concert is in aid of The Friary, Nottingham, a local charity with a distinctly Christian foundation whose mission is to empower homeless and vulnerable adults to rebuild their lives by offering practical services, advice and emotional support.
