About the Concert

On Sunday 11 January 2026 at Djanogly Recital Hall, University of Nottingham we present a concert that features composers, performers and inspiration from across Europe. We start with two works by Beethoven: the mighty Prometheus overture and his Piano Concerto No 3 in C Minor with Ukrainian soloist Khrystyna Mykhailichenko. The concert will end with a performance of Haydn’s Symphony No 104 "London".

On Sunday 24 May 2026 our season ends at St Lukes Church with three pieces by Mozart. We open the concert with Symphony no 1 in E flat, written when the composer was still only eight years old! We then welcome back Annabel Stevens (violin) and Erin Vinter (viola), two talented young soloists, both brought up in Nottingham, who will perform the Sinfonia Concertante. The concert concludes with Symphony No 29 in A, widely regarded as Mozart's first truly great symphony, and a landmark in his development as a symphonist.

Finally, we are delighted to adopt The Friary as our charity, working locally to prevent homelessness.
